The General Rule
For most offices that print a few thousand pages per month, a professional service visit every six months keeps things running smoothly. This covers cleaning internal components, inspecting wear parts, replacing anything that is starting to go, and updating firmware if needed.
High Volume Offices
If your office is printing ten thousand pages a month or more — which is common in law offices, medical practices, schools, and government buildings we serve across Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes — you should have your copier serviced every three to four months. The higher the volume, the faster parts wear out.
What Happens During a Service Visit
Our technicians clean the optical systems, check the feed rollers and paper path, inspect the fuser and drum, clean or replace filters, check for firmware updates, and run test prints to verify quality. They will also flag anything that is starting to show wear so it can be replaced before it causes a breakdown.
What Your Team Can Do Between Visits
Keep the scanner glass clean, do not overload paper trays, use the correct paper weight, and shake toner cartridges gently when print starts fading before the replacement arrives. Avoid using damp or wrinkled paper — that causes more jams than anything else we see.
