In 1996, Bayou Office Machines opened its doors in Larose with a simple idea: keep copiers running for the businesses along the bayou, and do it in person. Thirty years later, that has not changed. The trucks look different, the machines we service are a lot smarter, but the way we do business is the same as it was on day one.
Started Small, Stayed Local
We never chased becoming a national chain. Larose is home, and Lafourche and Terrebonne have been our territory from the beginning. Over the years that meant turning down opportunities that would have pulled us away from the towns we actually know — Cut Off, Golden Meadow, Raceland, Houma, Thibodaux. We would rather be the company somebody recognizes by truck than a call center three states away.
The Machines Changed. The Handshake Did Not
The copiers we worked on in 1996 look nothing like the networked, security-hardened systems we install today. We have kept up with every bit of that — new manufacturers, new technology, new training. But the part of the job that matters most has stayed exactly the same: showing up when we say we will, and treating a service call like it is for a neighbor, because most of the time it is.
Thirty years is a long time to stay in one place doing one thing. We plan on being here for the next thirty, too. If you have never given us a call, we would love the chance to earn that trust the same way we have with everybody else around here — one visit at a time. Reach us at (985) 693-7811.
